With every new time/date Rolex watch release, Caliber 3235 is slowly replacing its predecessor Caliber 3135. But what exactly are the differences between these two movements? The date wheel is advanced with the crown in second position (one notch out). Turn the crown counter-clockwise to advance the date wheel by one day. The time is set with the crown in third position (pulled all the way out). Servicing this 3235 from a DateJust 41 under warranty, seconds wheel pivot is dry on the dial side. Causing extra friction and wear which lowers amplitude and causes timekeeping issues. Quote:

Rolex mechanical movements are absolute works of art, and the latest Submariner 41MM Reference 124060 (pictured above) features the Caliber 3230 automatic mechanical movement (Pictured below) as well as the 3235 movement for the Submariner DATE model. I posted about a year ago hoping to find the fix to the issues plaguing the 3235 movement. My post at the time was to find a reason and solution to the issue. While there were many interesting replies, no long term fix was ever found. That was the case until now. I installed a gen escape wheel and gen pallet fork into my 3235 and it ran +300spd with huge beat error and little or no response to timing adjustments. I also have a gen balance in the movement. I put the gen escape wheel and fork .

Posts: 1,979. Switching smooth bezel dj41 to fluted. I should know this, anyone know if the bezels are swappable on dj41? Not by user, not asking about sending in to rsc, specifically a fluted bezel was found could it be put on smooth bezel datejust.
