I have a habit of "challenging" my watch by testing it now and then. Recently I decided to test it's Power Reserve. I wound 40 rounds and lay it upright and untouched for 3 days, while checking for it's accuracy once every few hours. End up it stopped after 48 hours. Update: Problem is worsening. I clocked just under 12 hours on my last wind. Shipped back to Breitling. Now I wait. Purchased a new Breitling Premier in September from an AD that isn't holding a charge. At full wind it'll tick for maybe 12-18 hours. If the power reserve seems acceptable when manually wound fully and not worn then the issue may lay with either a) your daily movement by itself being insufficient to impart full wind, and/or, b) an issue with the autowind system preventing it from winding efficiently.

As promised, I did a test on my SuperOcean 42mm. My watch is ~2yro and has the ETA 2842 movement with IIRC, a 38hr power reserve. All in all, I was pleased. My watch was still running — and on time — after about 34hrs of sitting idle.
I’m really happy with my Breirling but I checked that both the first Skyracer and my watch do not match the power reserve declared (42 hours). I performed an “experiment” with both watches and they stop after 30h aprox. Since this performance has been consistent in both watches, I do not think it is a problem with those specific units.
With its power reserve of 70 hours, the timepiece can easily be taken off the wrist and set aside for an extended “time out” without any worry of its stopping, especially since the rate results are shown to be stable despite gradually falling amplitudes.
