It is a Turtle Timer and that name was only sold in the United States to the best of collective knowledge. Other watches with the movement that your watch has were sold mostly in Canada and Australia in both Rolex and Tudor. I have read the "Double Name Rolex Watches" article by James Dowling but am really hoping that there is more information out there about the Turtle Timer. Maybe even more photos? Does anyone have one of these watches? Turtle Timer, Turtle Deluxe, Turtle Perpetual, Turtle Lipton, and Turtle Royal are the 5 model names I'm aware of. All RWC-made Turtle watches have reference numbers equivalent to the Canadian Oysters of the time (mostly 3478 and 2764). Turtles were the first RWC watches to be sold in the USA!But Zells had two major problems as far as Rolex were concerned; firstly they were a regional not national chain and their insistence on using their own Turtle Timer name and not Oyster meant that Rolex would never reap the benefit of any of the new oyster case success in the USA.
There are a number of threads detailing the relationship between Rolex and Zell Brothers of Seattle/Portland, most of which deal with earlier, small oyster watches branded only "Turtle," "Turtle Timer," or other similar models. The American retailer Zell Brothers sold Canadian Oysters under their store name Zell Brothers and the model name Turtle Timer, These watches usually had the movements marked Oyster Watch Ltd. And are highly sought after today.

Zell Bros was a jeweler in the Northwest and had an arrangement with Rolex for a period of time to sell their watches under the Turtle name.The dial is marked “TURTLE TIMER”, ‘shock resist’. It has luminous hands and numbers. Case diameter is 29mm, with crown screwed in 32mm. Overall thickness is 13mm. Overall length is 35mm. This is perhaps the rarest, non-Rolex signed, Rolex, and is highly sought after.
