I recently discovered the 1st-gen SuperOcean Heritage, which was available in . I have a brand new, Avenger (new dial with steel numbers) and the "Swiss Made" does appear on either side of the six o'clock dot. I've seen several of the "old" Skyland pics and those dials do not have Swiss Made.
I have a Crosswind Special from 2003/2004 and it doesn't have the 'Swiss Made' designation on the dial but is does have 'Manufacture En Suisse' on the caseback. Here's a picture. My Breitling is a very new model and has Swiss Made or Manufacture En Suisse on the dial, the caseback and the movement.
I recently discovered the 1st-gen SuperOcean Heritage, which was available in 38, 42, and 46 mm case diameters. In these photos you can see that the 46 and 42mm models clearly say "Swiss Made" on the dial, as you would expect. However, it is nowhere to be found on the 38mm model dial (or case back, for that matter). While Breitling is a Swiss watch company with a long history of producing high-quality timepieces, not all of their watches are 100% Swiss made. In order for a watch to be considered Swiss made, it must meet certain criteria set forth by the Swiss government.
Recently there seems to be a shift back to putting it on the dials, maybe because of the urban legend that if they don't have Swiss Made on the dial they were actually outsourced to Asia (not true). Top
Yes, of course, all Breitling watches are made in Switzerland. They all have "SWISS MADE" on the dial at six hours, on in some cases, it's not on the dial but somewhere else. For instance, on my Breitling Superocean, there is no "SWISS MADE" on the dial, but there is "MANUFACTURE EN SUISSE" on the clasp, and "CHRONOMETRE OFFICIELLEMENT .
Overall I am very interested to know why Swiss Made was not printed on the dials of a version of their flagship model and one of the iconic watches coming from Switzerland. Experts? The Evo is one of the most faked models but . I can't help but notice that my Super Avenger, and other Breitlings don't have "Swiss Made" at the bottom of the face. Rolex certainly puts "Swiss Made" at the bottom of their face/dial. Is Breitling not Swiss?
Breitling watches are made in Switzerland. While the company’s headquarters are located in Grenchen, Switzerland, the movements for Breitling’s mechanical watches are produced at the facilities in La Chaux-de-Fonds established in 2002 called the Breitling Chronométrie. <>. Modern Breitling offers a robust catalog categorized by eight product lines, each of which represent distinct variations of sport-oriented timepieces with roots in the tradition of fine Swiss watchmaking.
