Don't get a case knife like the ones on Amazon - the blade tends to be to thick . The case is a so-called "unishell", common in De Ville and Seamaster De Ville models. The movement is accessed through the dial side- I'd say leave that to a watchmaker, as the crown with the split stem need to be removed first, and then a special pump has to be used in order to increase the pressure, so that the crystal pops out.How to open up a vintage Omega Seamaster, adjust the time and re-assemble the watch into the case.Sorry about the focusing issue. Islandtimer, what I usually do if I have a watch that has a tight backcase is, first I put a piece of tape on the backcase just in case of a slip you don't scratch the backcase. Then I use a safety razor just to pry the case open enough to finish the job with my pocket knife. Good evening. Maybe someone could help me, how to open this Omega Deville case back.
