While it's not a "real" GMT movement like genuine Rolex Caliber 3185 or ETA 2893-2 it functions and serves its purpose perfectly and is much cheaper to purchase. The screwdown crown is small, tiny and bitch in the GMT master. If I'm not mistaken isn't the GMF movement also basically a 2836 clone with modified GMT module to achieve CHS and jumping hour hand? Or is it closer to the replicated movements that were released from ARF and VRF..? I would stick with a real ETA 2836 version and enjoy the watch for a few years while you make up the decision to buy the real one.
